Auburn got things rolling early with a quick takeaway and scored 3 plays later on a Bo Nix 4 yard touchdown run. Arkansas went 3 and out on its next possession. 3 plays later Auburn hit pay dirt again with a 6 yard td run from Shaun Shivers. After that early scoring flourish from Auburn, they only scored 3 points the rest of the first half.

Arkansas came back out and promptly turned the ball right back over to Auburn on a Ben Hicks interception. 2 plays later Bo Nix hit Anthony Schwartz for a 28 yard touchdown pass to go up 31-3.

After a turnover on downs by the Hogs followed by a fumble by Auburn, Arkansas finally hit on a big play with a touchdown pass to TE Cheyenne O’Grady that included some added excitement as he lost the handle on the ball, recovered and kept running for the 45 yard touchdown to make it 31-10.
