Hogs Lose 2nd Straight at Bud Walton

The Arkansas Razorbacks suffered their 2nd straight loss in Bud Walton Arena Wednesday night, losing to Georgia Tech 69-65. This is also the 2nd straight home game where Arkansas held the halftime lead but lost the game. They had won 64 straight games in Bud Walton when holding that halftime lead.

Mason Jones led Arkansas with 17 points, while Daniel Gafford added 14 and Isaiah Joe finished with 13 on 3-10 shooting from behind the arc.

The Yellow Jackets were paced by point guard Jose Alvarado’s 20 points as well as a double double by their big man, James Banks III who had 14 points along with 14 rebounds.

Arkansas did force 20 turnovers but ended up shooting just 38.1% on 24 out of 63 while Georgia Tech shot 45.5% on 25 out of 55 shooting. The Yellow Jackets also out rebounded the Hogs 43-31. The Hogs attempted 32 3 pointers while only hitting 10 of those.

Arkansas hosts Texas State on Dec 22nd at 1 PM. That game will be televised on the SEC Network.
