Little Rock, Arkansas–Over 400 small business owners and professionals had the opportunity to learn how to use Facebook and Instagram to launch and grow their businesses during a Facebook Community Boost training event on Monday and Tuesday at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. Topics ranged from getting started with Facebook to creating and posting Instagram stories, maximizing Facebook ads, posting job ads and other ways to expand business.
Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola welcomed attendees. Representatives from Facebook led breakout sessions and hosted booths to assist participants with technical questions.
Jordan Mountjoy of Rock Monkey Outfitters, Dani Martin of Cotton Shed Vintage Market and Chaz Hubbart of Chaz the Car Man made up a local business panel that described their success using Facebook and Instagram.
A new partnership between Facebook and University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College was also announced. A marketing certificate program is being developed at UAPTC to train students in digital skill including social media marketing and digital media strategy. This will help graduates be more successful in the digital workforce.
