Jimmy Jack Thomas, 68, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away July 15, 2016. He was born August 5, 1947, in Hot Springs, to the late Gilbert & LaFaye (LaFonte) Thomas.
Jimmy played football at Hot Springs High School and later obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University. He was a Roadway freight terminal manager who loved to fish, hunt and just be in the outdoors. He was a man who never met a stranger who would give you the shirt off his back and loved to pick and grin while playing his 12 string guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Lee (Gaither) Thomas; daughter, Laura Lee Thomas Cook (Timothy); sister, Denise Diaz (Thomas); sister-in-law, Melinda Gaither; uncle, Jack LaFonte; good friend & nephew, Michael White; numerous nephews cousins and close friends; and also by his faithful companions, Thumper & Ariella.
Pallbearers are Brian Irwin, Roger Fox, Calvin Alexander, Gary Gaither, Tim Cook, and Benny Collier.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Scott Cemetery with Bro. Wade Overturf officiating.
