#3 Fayetteville faced a tough task vs the defending 7A state champ in the #1 Bryant Hornets on Friday night. On the Bulldog’s first possession and 2nd play of the game, Bryant picked off a pass and took it to the house to start the scoring. From there, Bryant leaned heavily on their running back Ahmad Adams behind his 3 first half rushing touchdowns.

Bryant was up 21-0 after the first quarter and the outcome was never really in doubt from there although Fayetteville would score once to make it 35-6 at the half.

Bryant scored quickly in the 3rd quarter and that kept the clock rolling the rest of the game. Fayetteville added a touchdown later in the 3rd to make the final score 42-13.

Fayetteville goes on the road next Friday to face Bentonville West.
